Today's news is not as monumental, but the obsessive fans of Alfred Hitchcock - and they are many - can finally be closer to work full view of the master.Radio New Zealand News reports that three reels of the white shadow, credited as Hitchcock's first film, were found in some unidentified prints at the New Zealand Film Archive. Hitchcock did not direct the film, but he is credited as writer, assistant director, editor and production designer, who was technically directed by Graham Cutts.

Only three of the original six reels of film were found, however, and as CEO of the Cinematheque Frank Stark said, they do not know where they have three - it is "a real thriller" , he said, hopefully all struggling to keep a straight face.
